GITMAN VINTAGE SIMPLE JACKET MARLING & EVANS HOPSACK NAVY

GITMAN VINTAGE SIMPLE JACKET MARLING & EVANS HOPSACK NAVY

Inspired by the understated elegance of the 1960s sack suit, gitman vintage has reimagined the silhouette with thoughtful modern details, resulting in a garment that wears with the comfort of a shirt but carries the presence of a refined sport coat. It’s relaxed but intentional, designed to move seamlessly across occasions from casual mornings to polished evenings. Though this jacket feels like something Max Gitman himself might have worn 60 years ago, it fits just as effortlessly into the wardrobe of the modern man.

Each jacket is cut and sewn in Rochester, New York, a place where traditional tailoring techniques still guide every stitch. Established in 1899 and standing as the oldest tailoring house in the country, the craftsmanship here isn’t just skilled; it’s storied.

Rounding out this Simple Jacket is a USA-woven and RWS-certified 100% wool hopsack fabric. Milled with a breathable open weave, this fabric wears wonderfully from cool to warm temperatures, and drapes with an elegance that must be seen to be believed. Its hand is cool to the touch, and can be worn directly on the skin with a t-shirt or layered on top of our button-downs.
