YUKETEN LAND JORDAN FIRST BLACK

Yuketen Land Jordan First is a joyful leap in footwear design, bringing together the pliant comfort and durability of the genuine goodyear-welted shoes and the subtle aestheticism of the iconic 80s basketball shoe. The Land Jordan First is entirely handcut and benchmade in Mexico onto 1930’s American modified lasts for the ideal union of comfort and style. The updated shape of this boot originates from the mil-spec last that is specifically designed for army infantry to guarantee long-wearing comfort.

The fundamental components for this style are rich and malleable full grain cow leather uppers lined with soft-tanned cow leather for added comfort and a foundation that is constructed of a combination of vegetable-tanned leather midsoles and the Vibram’s USA made Cristy sole, which provides high shock absorbing with great surface traction for higher grip performance.

Yuketen’s meticulous Goodyear stitches are made by a sturdy 1910 German-made welt stitcher and the Christy outsole - an allusion to 1970s work boots - is directly attached to the shoe's 100% veg-tan midsole, complementing the multiple layers of rubber, natural cork cushioning, and leather underfoot. Full-grain natural leather welt is Goodyear stitched to 100% vegetable-tanned leather insoles to create the sturdy bond of craftsmanship for which Goodyear welted shoes are famous.

These remarkable features mark a new direction for Yuketen’s design aesthetic verging toward formal elegance while simultaneously maintaining all core principles and construction techniques for highest-quality handmade products.
