ENDLESS JOY 'CRETAN BULL' ALOHA SHIRT

In Greek mythology The Cretan Bull appears in the Labours of Heracles, as well as the myth of the Minotaur and his labyrinth. It was the creature that Pasiphae fell in love with, and became impregnated by, eventually giving birth to the Minotaur. It is the bull that inspired Picasso Minoatuar and often a symbol associated with the unconscious mind in Freudian psychology.

Few symbols in history have signified the raw energies of life itself more potently than the bull. Bulls epitomise strength in the animal kingdom, symbolising and power in both their physical and spiritual presence.

Carved from a jagged linocut, two angular bulls charge forth bearing down on the viewer.
